Sec 3 Science Learning Day

During the Science Learning Day, the Sec 3 students participated in a variety of activities to enhance their learning of Science. (a) They visited the River Safari where they appreciated the biodiversity of life in river ecosystems and learnt about the water filtration system used to ensure the health and safety of the animals. They also had the opportunity to prepare the food and feed the animals. (b) They participated in the ‘Chemistry of Chocolate’ Workshop where they learnt the process of making chocolate using cacao beans. (c) They learnt about the benefits of yoghurt and gained hands-on experience at making it during the ‘Biology of Yoghurt’ Workshop. (d) They visited the NUS Anatomy Museum at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine where they used virtual reality headsets and hand-held controllers to manipulate 3D models to study the various parts of a human body. (e) They learnt to code during the micro:bit programming workshop and were tasked to solve real-world issues.
