Two teams of students from Serangoon Garden Secondary School participated
in the Junior Chef Culinary Competition organized by Yishun Secondary School.
The challenge was to prepare a pizza with Singaporean flavors, using either
traditional or innovative toppings, and incorporating healthier ingredient
options.
Our students excelled, earning a Certificate of Excellence for their creativity and culinary skills.
Our first entry, Ching Tng Coral Garden Pizza by Niharika and Nur Adawiah from 2RP.
This dish draws inspiration from Ching Tng, a traditional Singaporean dessert.
Our dish includes red dates for luck, white fungus with blue pea for health, and dried longan for happiness.
Our second entry, Orh Nee U pizza by Mikel Wang from 3GT, and Jamie Goh from 3WD.
This dish blends Singaporean heritage with healthy choices, inspired by Teochew dessert Orh Nee.
